Microsoft announced on Tuesday (18) the pricing structure of Microsoft 365 Copilot, a generative artificial intelligence system that will be embedded in famous programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The value will be $ 30 monthly per user, which gives around R $ 145 in direct conversion and without taxes.
By making the announcement during the Microsoft Inspire event, the Redmond-based giant positions itself as a provider of cloud productivity services, now powered by AI.
Behind Microsoft 365 Copilot is GPT-4 technology, the one developed by OpenAI. An earlier generation is running on ChatGPT (the so-called GPT-3.5). ChatGPT Plus has GPT-4. Access costs $ 20 per month.
What is Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot was originally announced in March. Microsoft’s idea is to give more tools for professionals to take advantage of the productivity suite. Generative artificial intelligence is able to read the contents of files and generate content based on the prompt informed by the user.
According to Microsoft, it would be possible to deliver a Word document to artificial intelligence and ask the system to convert it into a presentation with the main points.
It doesn’t hurt to remember that the late Office 365 changed its name in October 2022, after 30 years. Now the productivity suite is called Microsoft 365. The apps run mostly in the cloud.

Microsoft took advantage of this week’s event to announce the launch of a business-specific Bing Chat, as it has additional privacy and security protections. The Enterprise version ensures the protection of “everything that enters – or leaves” the platform. It has a list price of $ 5.
It seems to be a way for the company to address questions about “leaking” information in traditional Bing Chat. This concern is on the rise among large companies, which have already banned employees from using ChatGPT and other AI tools because of this fear. Apple and Samsung are recent examples.
The company did not say when Microsoft 365 Copilot and Bing Chat Enterprise will be available to customers.
