TikTok’s new tool allows you to publish videos from other platforms

TikTok announced on Tuesday (10) the launch of Direct Post, an API that allows the publication of videos on the social network through other platforms. In this release, the company disclosed that Twitch, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Express, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and SocialPilot are the first services to feature the feature.

The novelty will allow content creators to have more agility in publishing content from one platform to another. However, the API will be useful for businesses and social media professionals to manage posts on TikTok. Through the tool, even some edits, such as adding subtitles, can be done to the video.

As TikTok explains on its official blog, requests from platforms to use the Direct Post API will undergo an evaluation before the social network authorizes the integration. Therefore, we can expect more services to start using the feature.

However, these first partners announced by TikTok should already be enough to please influencers and publishers. In the first case, a streamer will be able to cut a clip and publish it on Tiktok already in vertical mode. There’s also the option to save the video as a draft to finish editing on your phone.

For publishers, especially those who work for influencers, integration with video editing programs will make it easier for them to publish a client’s video.

Social media professionals will also celebrate, since with the amount of social networks that exist, having to manually publish a video on your cell phone takes a certain amount of work. However, only the social media management platform SocialPilot has Direct Post.

Interested developers can access the API through TikTok’s developer website. The social network said that in the future it will be possible to publish photos through Direct Post.

This new feature is an evolution of the integration to save drafts on the social network through other platforms.
