The Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro is a product that is not lacking in interest, especially to equip a house with a secondary screen. So this is a connected overhead projector. It will accompany (or even cap) the Mi Smart Compact Projector that the brand unveiled last year. It takes the principle, an all-in-one camera (sound, image, operating system, connectivity), but greatly improves the quality of the image.
Full HD, HDR, up to 120 inches
All the details of the technical sheet have not been revealed by the brand. However, the most important ones were communicated. First, the size of the screen: it ranges from 80 inches to 120 inches (depending on the step you can offer). The display definition is Full HD. This means that there is no need to wait with this product for the same dive as with a TV. But that’s enough for a booster display.
Also at the image level, the Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro is HDRcompatible, to accentuate contrasts. The battery power of the lamp is 1300 ANSI lumens, almost three times the brightness of the Mi Smart Compact Projector. In addition, trapeze correction is omnidirectional, not just vertical. On the audio side, the new projector is compatible with DTS-HD and Dolby Audio. It incorporates two speakers with a power of 10 watts each.
A hyper-connected projector on Android TV
On the connecting side, you’ll find two USB 2.0ports in the back, two HDMI ports (including one ARC compatible), a 3.5mm jack audiooutput, an optical audio input and an Ethernetport. It should also be WiFi and Bluetoothcompatible, although this was not confirmed at the conference. Let’s finish this roundup with the operating system: the Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro works on Android TV (logically the same version as on the last TVs of the brand). Thanks to this, the projector is compatible Chromecast and Google Assistant.
The release date of the product has not yet been revealed, but its price has been: Xiaomi will market the Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro at 999 euros. There is still some missing information about this projector, including the core of the system (CPU and Ram) and the volume of on-board storage, not to mention the advertised lifespan of the lamp. But these early elements are very encouraging. And we can’t wait to test.
