Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Pro 360 are released with 12th generation i7 and AMOLED screen

Samsung presented, on Sunday (27), its newest notebooks during mobile world congress (MWC) 2022. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 are top-of-the-line devices equipped with AMOLED display, Full HD webcam and 12th generation Intel Core processor.

The new equipment comes to market to replace the Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360, which already offered Intel’s next-generation processor, as well as AMOLED screen, SSD and powerful charger, to compete with macbooks from rival Apple.

The Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is a notebook focused on multitasking and productivity. It is 2 in 1, so it can be used as a laptop or tablet and, for this second option, the S Pen pen, already known from the company’s smartphones, is present in the box.

The touch screen is available in 13.3 and 15.6-inch versions. The panel is super AMOLED type with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Both versions feature backlit keyboard and AKG stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology support. The webcam is now Full HD (1080p) and the microphone has gained noise reduction technology for video calls.

In connectivity, they offer Thunderbolt 4 port, USB-C, headphone jack and microSD card slot. HDMI connection, which the new MacBook Pro has re-made available, curiously not available in the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360.

The device runs Windows 11 and is powered by the 12th generation Core processor (i5/i7), with 8, 16 or 32 GB RAM (LPDDR5) and 256, 512 GB or 1TB SSD. “The Galaxy Book 2 Pro series delivers multi-core performance up to 1.7 times faster than the previous generation,” says the South Korean.

Samsung also made a point of highlighting the integration between the brand’s devices. The user can, for example, connect a Galaxy Tab tablet to the notebook to increase screen space and even transfer files faster.

differential, the device brings support to the 5G network, for remote work. There are two versions available, 13.3 and 15.6 inches, both Super AMOLED with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

On the connection part, both the smaller and larger model feature Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB 3.2 and headphone jack. Again, the HDMI port was left out. Book 2 Pro has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

The processor is the 12th generation Intel Core (i5/i7). The RAM options are 8, 16, and 32 GB, with 1 TB (NVMe SSD) storage.

The 13.3″ model has a 63 Wh cell, and is 68 Wh for the 15.6-inch one. The two will be sold with a 65-watt charger, and Samsung reports that they have a battery life of up to 21 hours. The Book 2 Pro 360 has the same configuration as the conventional Pro.
