At the end of February 2021, Samsung launched the deployment of the One UI 3.1 interface on the smartphones in its catalog. This Android 11-based update adds the software features originally developed for the Galaxy S21. The firmware includes Single Take2, an optimized touch autofocus, a self-exposure controller, a smart photo editing tool and the new Eye Comfort Shield7 mode.

The update was quickly offered on the Galaxy S10, S10 and S10e, Samsung’s old flagships. Unfortunately, the firmware causes a bug on some units, report our colleagues at Galaxy Club. A growing number of S10 users say the update prevents the smartphone from recognizing the SIM card. The media claims to have received several complaints in this regard.

Will Samsung suspend the deployment of One UI 3.1 on the Galaxy S10?

According to the testimony, the SIM card is suddenly no longer recognized by the S10. The terminal sporadically displays an error message “com.android.phone has stopped.” De facto, users are no longer able to connect to the Internet, make a phone call or send a message.

To correct the problem, some users have tried to empty the cache of phone and SIM toolbox applications. Unfortunately, the maneuver did not allow all affected Internet users to fix the bug. At this time, it is not known if Samsung is aware of the malfunctions encountered by the Galaxy S10.

As a reminder, the previous update deployed on the Galaxy S10 had caused a wave of problems. The One UI 3.0 update caused smartphones to overheat abnormally after a few minutes of use and a camera blur. After a wave of disgruntled testimonials, Samsung had preferred to suspend the deployment of the update. In these circumstances, will Samsung suspend the deployment of One UI 3.1?
