Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra can have 120 Hz OLED screen and huge battery

Samsung is expected to release three models for the Galaxy Tab S8 line this year, one of which is the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra – which, by name, would bring the most advanced features, including 120 Hz OLED screen and huge battery, 12,000 mAh. The specifications of the new tablets would have leaked in a market survey conducted by Samsung in South Korea, according to information from SamMobile released on Friday (28).

The research would have revealed three models under the codename Basquiat, and they would all come with the S Pen and rely on the 120 Hz refresh rate.

However, the most basic should bring an 11-inch TFT panel, while the “Basquiat 2”, successor of the Galaxy Tab S7+, would have a 12.4-inch OLED display. Finally, the “Basquiat 3”, or Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, would have 14.6-inch OLED screen – and no, we’re not talking about a notebook.

To handle the display, Samsung would bet on a 12,000 mAh battery for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, with fast charging of 45 W. The tablet should weigh 650 grams, and measure only 5.5 mm thick.

If rumors are confirmed, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be sold in variants with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 512 GB of storage.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra can have dual front camera
On the cameras, the three variants (Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra) should bring a dual set of lenses on the rear (13 MP + 5 MP). However, only the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra would have a dual-front camera, consisting of a main lens with 8 MP sensor and another ultrawide 5 MP.

Samsung can also sell a new premium keyboard for these devices, with new support modes for viewing up to 165 degrees.

Price and availability
No information about the new Galaxy Tab S8 has been confirmed by the South Korean company, but according to rumors circulating in the specialized media, the models should start at $740 (conventional), $1,120 (Plus) and $1,320 (Ultra).
