Honor has just announced its new entry-level smartphone for the European market. The Honor 9A is a terminal that will be sold for 149 euros. At this price, we should not expect a monster of power, however, the Chinese brand still promises a great autonomy.
Honor has always targeted buyers who do not want to ruin themselves with a smartphone by focusing primarily on attractive prices. This new model of Honor 9A perfectly follows this philosophy, since it will be sold for a very affordable price of 149 euros.
For this price, do not expect a lightning war. To convince, Honor relies on the autonomy of its product, which has a battery of 5000 mAh, large enough for a smartphone. Honor promises up to 33 hours of call time and 35 hours of video player time. It’s optimistic.
Modest features
For the rest, we have a very modest technical record, in line with the price offered by the manufacturer. The 9A is equipped with a 6.3-inch slab (unspecified definition) in 20:9 format. Like the brand’s more high-end models, a notch is lodged at the top of the screen for the front camera.
No details regarding the processor, Honor remaining unclear on the subject. We just know that the phone has 3GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage. A microSD card reader is present to increase this space (up to 512GB). You won’t have to hope to take great pictures with the Honor 9A, as it only has a 13-megapixel sensor at the rear, accompanied by a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor.

The smartphone will come with Android 10 and the Magic UI 3.1 overlay. As you would expect from a Huawei smartphone, it will not come with the Google software suite. For applications, you’ll have to go to the AppGallery, the manufacturer’s online store. The smartphone comes in two colours: blue and black.
It is already available on Honor’s website and on the Fnac website for 149 euros.
