The Huawei P50 Pro continues to make a name for itself. Several weeks before the announcement, a well-known leaker released a series of renderings showing the smartphone’s design. Unsurprisingly, there is a holed screen surrounded by slightly curved edges and a huge photo block on the back. This time, Huawei is banking on an egg-shaped block with rounded edges.
The latest news is that Huawei will be available in three different models: a standard P50, a P50 Pro and a P50 Pro. This latest edition, ultra high-end, should be reserved for the Chinese market. In Europe, Huawei will simply market the other two variants on the market.
According to the leaks, the P50 Pro stands out thanks to a 120 Hz screen, a 66W wired fast charging, 55W wireless charging and a SoC Kirin 9000 (the same chipset as the Mate 40). While the device’s technical record has largely leaked in recent months, the design has remained a mystery so far.

Huawei bets on an egg-shaped photo block
After weeks of leaks, a renowned informant came to lift the veil on the design of the Huawei P50 Pro. OnLeaks, a well-known informant of the smartphone galaxy, has published several 3D renderings showing what the Chinese flagship looks like. The leaker had already shared a preliminary rendering of the P50 Pro at the end of December.
According to the informant, the P50 Pro is covered with a glass back and surrounded by a metal frame with flat slices. The terminal is built arounda 6.6-inch screen with slightly curved edges. The touch slab is surrounded by particularly thin borders. The chin, the lower border, has been drastically reduced compared to the previous generation.
On the back, Huawei opts for a photo block that “comes in the form of a massive egg-shaped bump,”notes OnLeaks. Unfortunately, the leaker does not reveal the complete design of the camera. This device should house the largest photo sensor ever designed for smartphone. Moreover, the P50 Pro carries a fingerprint reader under the screen. For the record, Huawei will present the P50s sometime in March 2021.
