Amazon expands to the automotive industry
Another Internet retailing giant, Amazon, is also pushing the diversification of its product portfolio. Previously they threatened only diminutive housing market, but now they have made the auto market one of their main targets. From today, consumers in 48 American cities will be able to buy a new Hyundai-brand car in the Amazon Autos store.
Simplified vehicle purchase
When they are on Amazon Autos, customers will be able to see models in their dealership and products to be sold through searches by make, model, finish, color, and any feature of the car. The platform also enables the user to apply for financing and schedule a time to come and pick the vehicle from a nearby dealership. Customers will also be able to acquire an on blotch valuation of the present car model which they intend to trade in placing the amount as a deposit while picking up their new one.
Transparent pricing
Besides easing the purchase, Amazon has also vowed to ensure customers can access fair car prices. This will avoid the buyers to negotiate with a seller which is seen as irrelevant in 2024. With the recognizable layout of the trading platform, the user will be able to see evaluations of other people who bought cars or dealt with particular dealerships.
An expanding service
Currently, Amazon Autos is only in Metropolises like Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, and others. It may be noted that Amazon intends to progressively increase the number of Hyundai dealers on the market place. However the two companies at least signed a deal last year to help them provide this kind of service. Amazon Autos will be expanded starting next year offering additional manufacturers, brands cities and features.
And one more step closer towards sustainability of mobility
This new initiative by Amazon belongs to the ongoing advance of electromobility. Amazon is promoting electromobility by providing vehicles for transportation and contributing to its sustainable development.
