Microsoft on Monday unveiled Copilot Pro, an individual subscription with access to generative AI. Individual access costs $110/month and is offered within Microsoft 365. .
Copilot focuses on individuals, including those who are self-employed. The operation is similar to that of the professional version of the tool. Artificial intelligence helps in the production of Excel spreadsheets, text suggestions in Word, production of new content, summarizing emails, and even generating new images (which is also available for free in Bing Copilot).
Copilot Pro can be opened directly in Microsoft 365 programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The AI gives access to GPT-4 Turbo, the latest version of OpenAI’s large language model (LLM). It is also used in ChatGPT. Microsoft has said that it will soon be possible to choose which LLM to use, in case you prefer GPT-3.5.
Copilot Pro is a new plan that offers the most advanced AI features and capabilities, available for $20 per month. Copilot Pro provides a single AI experience that works across all devices and understands context across the web, PC, apps, and soon your phone, so you can get the right answers when you need them. Copilot is also coming to Word and Excel, in preview and English only, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote on PCs, Macs, and iPads for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers. With Copilot Pro, you’ll have access to the GPT-4 Turbo engine during peak hours for faster performance and soon the ability to switch between models to optimize the experience. Bing Image Creator becomes Image Creator Designer, a platform that guarantees faster speed at 100 steps per day and offers more detailed image quality and landscape format.
Another cool feature will be the customization of Copilot. In the future, the Copilot GPT Builder tool will allow you to train the AI to cater to some more specific topic.
The Copilot Pro subscription integrates with Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans.
