For a long time, the Galaxy Watch 4 was the only smartwatch with Factory Wear OS 3. Google’s new operating system is now available in another Qualcomm processor model: Montblanc Summit 3. The german brand’s new luxury watch features a titanium body, blood oxygenation level reader, multiple dials and Google Pay support. The wearable arrives in July for $1,290.
The Montblanc Summit 3 focuses on a more traditional rounded design, with a body made of titanium and rubber and leather strap options. On the side, there is a rotating crown and two buttons for navigation.
Inside, consumers find a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor, which is a requirement to run the new Wear OS. Montblanc has not released information about battery life, but other models of the brand usually stay away from the charger for a day.
Smartwatch supports step-by-step navigation on Google Maps, heart rate sensor, blood oxygenation level reader, and Google Pay compatibility for approach payments. The watch app provides the sleep tracking function and multiple dials to customize the interface.
Although not confirmed by Montblanc, the images suggest that Summit 3 delivers an almost “pure” version of Wear OS 3, unlike the Galaxy Watch 4 that brought modifications of the One UI Watch. With this, you can notice some system details, such as the area of recent applications and the animation of the oxygenation meter.
Price and availability
Montblanc Summit 3 will be available in the United States from July 15. Interested parties can purchase it directly from the manufacturer’s website for $1,290. The company ships the watch in a “sustainable paper packaging” and mentions that it is compatible with a “wide range of tools to maximize the lifecycle experience”.
It is worth mentioning that this smartwatch has already been approved by Anatel. Therefore, there is a good possibility of it being released in Brazil soon. There is still no information regarding the price, but considering that Summit 2 is on sale for R $ 6,500, it is expected a similar or higher value.
