Motorola Edge 30 Ultra arrives in Brazil with 200 MP camera and fast recharge

Motorola announced on Thursday (8) the arrival of its newest top-of-the-line phone. It is called Edge 30 Ultra and has as main highlight the camera, with resolution of 200 megapixels. In addition, the device is compatible with 5G SA, NSA and DSS, and features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Qualcomm’s most powerful chip.

The camera is really the highlight of the Edge 30 Ultra. The smartphone has a triple set, led by the main sensor has 200 megapixels. According to Motorola, the handset combines up to 16 pixels in one. The promise is of more colorful photos even in bad lighting conditions.

Despite the 200 megapixel sensor, it is not possible to take a picture with this resolution. The output options are 60, 15 and 8 megapixels.

High resolution numbers are not only on the main sensor. The ultra-wide camera has 50 megapixels and also caters for macro photos. A telephoto lens completes the set, with 12 megapixel sensor.

In front of the device, the camera for selfies has 60 megapixels, with fixed focus.

The other highlight is the fast loading. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with 125W TurboPower charger.

The company promises that seven minutes in the socket is enough to have power for the whole day. The battery of the device has a capacity of 4,610 mAh.

In addition, the smartphone has support for wireless charging of up to 50 W, and 10W battery sharing, to provide power to other devices.

High-performance hardware
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Announced in May 2022, it is Qualcomm’s most advanced model to date, with a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz.

One of its features is directly connected to the cameras: recording video at 8K at 30 frames per second, or 4K at 60 frames per second.

Along with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, Motorola has placed 12 GB of LDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with UFS 3.1 technology.

The power of the chip also interests gamers. Motorola also thought about this audience and put reduced latency and 360 Hz touch rate, for faster responses during games.

In connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G in Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) standards, as well as 6E Wi-Fi.

Special attention to audio and video
Another promise is a more immersive experience in games, movies and series. For this, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with 6.7-inch pOLED display with curved 3D glass, Full HD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate.

In addition, the smartphone features stereo speakers supported by Dolby Atmos technology, with three-dimensional sound.

Motorola has also put some extra features into its new top of the line. One of them is Edge Lights, lights that sit on the edges of the device and light up when the user receives notifications or calls.

The device also offers a customizable shortcut, which can be accessed by giving two “pats” on the back.

The company maintained Ready For, one of the most interesting tools in the Edge line. With it, you can connect your phone to computers and TV, wired or wireless.

With respect to the operating system, the Edge 30 Ultra comes with Android 12. Motorola promises four years of updates and updates for three more versions of Android. There’s no prediction of when Android 13 arrives, though.
