Nubia Z18: discover its borderless screen and its second screen on the back, in pictures

The Nubia Z18 could have a totally borderless design with a second screen on the back depending on the leaking renderings of the smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is located on a slice of the smartphone. The design of the device seems to be inspired by the competition, especially the Vivo NEX or the Oppo Find X, except that the Z18 has no front sensor.

The specialized site GSM Arena shares renderings of a mysterious smartphone that could be Nubia’s next flagship, the Z18. We see a beautiful borderless screen occupying a large part of the façade, the borders are very thin including above and below the screen. No front photo sensor seems to be present, the fingerprint reader is located on the right side since the back of the smartphone is occupied by another screen. It could be used to display certain information at all times, such as time or notifications, but also to take pictures. We also see a dual photo sensor and two LED flashes.

Nubia Z18: here is a totally borderless flagship with a second screen at the back

The design of this smartphone seems to be very inspired by competitors like the Vivo NEX and its beautiful borderless screen, or the Oppo Find X officially unveiled in Paris recently. Nubia CEO Ni Fei has reportedly said that the brand’s next flagship will adopt a “Full Screen 3.0” design design. The Nubia Z17S is already impressive with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Chinese manufacturers have been competing with ingenuity in recent months to offer borderless design without notch.

However, the tweezers are of course de rigueur while waiting for an official announcement from the manufacturer. In addition these renderings can also show another device of the brand. Previously, design schemes revealed a different design for the Z18 and we could see a small notch above the screen reminiscent of the Essential Phone.
