A few days before the official presentation of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro on March 23, the German website WinFuture has unveiled a preview of the official renderings of the two high-end smartphones.

Thanks to the official renderings, we are now certain that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro were both developed in partnership with Hasselblad, since we can see the logo of the Swedish company on the photo module of the phones. OnePlus promises that this generation will make significant improvements in this area.
On the photo side, the OnePlus 9 Pro is very impressive. It will have 4 different sensors, including a 48MP IMX 789 wide-angle sensor,an IMX 766 ultra wide-angle sensor, an 8MP telephoto and a 2MP macro sensor. OnePlus relies heavily on this 1/1.56-inch IMX 766 with an f/1.8 aperture, since it is a so-called “free form” sensor, which removes the usual distortion effect of ultra wide-angle sensors. The high-end smartphone will be available in two colors, black and purple, at an as yet unknown price.
Will the OnePlus 9 be made of plastic?
According to WinFuture, the OnePlus 9 frame does not include any network antenna, suggesting that it will be made of plastic, unlike the OnePlus 8 that was made of metal. However, it is not yet known if the entire back of the smartphone will be covered with plastic, as is the case on the Samsung Galaxy S21.
The official renderings of the OnePlus 9 also reveal that the smartphone will havea flat, uncired screen with a 6.5-inch diagonal. On the back, the phone will be able to rely on a 3-sensor configuration, including a 48MP main, a 50MP IMX 766 ultra wide-angle and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone should be available in green, silver and black. Finally, we know that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will both come with a charger in the box, unlike the flagships of Apple and Samsung.
It will be between a few days before officially discovering the OnePlus 9 and the 9 Pro. Both smartphones should be accompanied by a more affordable model, the OnePlus 9R,as well as the manufacturer’s first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. The official presentation will take place on March 23.
