In recent months, several leaks have mentioned the arrival ofa OnePlus 9R intended to complete the onePlus 9 range. In an interview with our News18 colleagues, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, finally confirmed the existence of this third edition.
“We are delighted to launch the OnePlus 9R in India” announces Pete Lau during the interview. At this time, it is not known if the smartphone will be offered outside the Indian market. There is no indication that OnePlus wants to market this affordable model in Europe, and particularly in France.

“With the OnePlus 9R, we are focused on expanding our smartphone offering to meet the different requirements of users while providing a robust experience at a more affordable price,” explains the OnePlus executive. As was already the case last year with OnePlus North, the manufacturer continues to diversify its offer in order to attract a wide range of buyers.
Despite its content price, the OnePlus 9R incorporates “the latest technologies that we consider to be the essential features,”says Pete Lau. The smartphone is particularly optimized for mobile gaming. The latest news is that it’s covered with a 90 Hz screen, ideal for gaming. The CEO also claims that the OnePlus 9R offers high-flying performance. This edition would be powered by the Snapdragon 690, a SoC Qualcomm engraved in 8nm, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The battery life would be entrusted to a battery of 5000 mAh. The smartphone benefits from the Warp Charge 30T, an older version of the fast charging of OnePlus.
