The AnTuTu benchmark software has found a new standard meter in the person of ZTE’s Red Magic 5G. The smartphone, which will be made official next week, is already revealed through a score that has never been seen before in the app.
We already knew that the Red Magic 5G would be one of the very first smartphones to enjoy a Snapdragon 865. But the device has another surprise: thanks to its new cooling system,it should not disappoint those who expect more power from their phone. In the small game of the best-performing smartphone of the moment, the Red Magic 5 could well crush all its competitors.

A new cooling system to boost the already crazy performance of the Snapdragon 965
According to the first benchkmarks circulating on the Web, the Snapdragon 865 is announced as the most powerful SoC of the beginning of the year, beating the Exynos 990 which equips the S20 Ultra and yet did not disappoint. The Red Magic 5G has just received the highest rating under AnTuTu: with a score of 633,000, it quietly exceeds anything we’ve seen so far in terms of benchmarks made using the Snapdragon 865. It is even more powerful than the Realme RMX2071 which recently won with 574,000 points. If this result is made possible, it is thanks to the cooling system designed by ZTE, which reaches 15,000 rpm. The mini-fan has been completely redesigned, both in the air ducts and in the shape and position of the blades.
The device should therefore be tailored for maximum productivity, but also and especially for video games. This is the positioning of ZTE. The Red Magic 5G should have 12GB of RAM, a 4400 mAh or 5000 mAh battery, a 6.65″ screen size and a 48MP main photo sensor. Another positive is that it should also benefit from a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The Red Magic 5G will be unveiled on March 12. A big question remains: the price of the device. Will it be marketed around 800 euros, or will it cross the fateful threshold of 1000 euros? Answer in just over a week.
