Without splify, Google has made Workspace more expensive

On Tuesday (14), Google increased the prices of Workspace. Thus, the Business Starter, Business Standard and Business Plus plans were 20% more expensive in the monthly subscription for new users. For those who are already subscribers, the value will change from April, but the addition will occur gradually. However, the company offers an annual contract, which is cheaper.

If you want to become a Google Workspace subscriber to have features like video calls with 150 participants and personalized email, then it’s worth staying tuned for new monthly prices. The change affected three plans, which were like this:

Business Starter: $33,60;
Business Standard: $ 84;
Business Plus: $ 126.
The Enterprise plan also requires the interested party to contact the search giant’s sales team to acquire information about the values.

On the other hand, the annual contract is also available to users. Even costing cheaper than the monthly, it brings details that can displease. For example, the terms of the agreement say that you’ll be stuck with the number of users you choose at the beginning of the year, but you can add new members if you overpay for it. However, you will not be able to remove them.

In addition, the Google Workspace annual plan bill arrives monthly, but you’re stuck with the service for the 12-month contract. If you want to cancel it before the agreed deadline, there will be a need to pay a befitting fine.

Platform gets more expensive on the same day it gains AI resources
Exactly the same day that the monthly subscription of the service received the price increase, Google decided to announce the arrival of artificial intelligence features to Workspace.

According to the search giant, the novelty will allow apps to create emails and documents from simple requests. The user will also be able to summarize their conversations with the help of AI and even ask for the construction of complete presentations.

Initially, Gmail and Docs will make use of the technology, but it shouldn’t take long to reach other apps. In the future, the search giant’s entire Workspace will be taken over by the robots.

However, it is curious how Google left to communicate the news well on the day that new values reach the service platform. Apparently, there is a relationship between the 20% increase and the new features.
