Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: a benchmark confirms the technical sheet before the announcement

Xiaomi is about to launch the Mi 11 Ultra, a new high-end smartphone. Several days before the official announcement, a benchmark appeared on Geekbench came to lift the veil on part of the technical sheet. Unsurprisingly, the flagship is powered by Qualcomm’s powerful SoC Snapdragon 888 coupled with a large amount of RAM.

This Friday, March 26, 2021, the benchmark ofa smartphone called M2102K1G was put online in the Geekbench database. The smartphone codename has already appeared several times on the web. This code name is linked to the Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi’s new premium flagship.

On Geekbench, the Mi 11 Ultra climbs to 1132 single core and 3488 in multi core. Thanks to these solid scores, it far surpasses the Galaxy S21 Ultra with Exynos 2100 (1082 and 3443), Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro with Kirin 9000 (950 and 3311) and the Oppo Find X3 Pro with Snapdragon 888 (931 and 3392).

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and 12GB of RAM for the Xiaomi M11 Ultra

This high-flying performance is due to the presence of the Snapdragon 888. Like its little brother, the standard Mi 11, the Mi 11 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s 5nm engraved SoC. The Mi 11 Ultra does not carry Xiaomi’s home soC, Surge 2. The powerful Qualcomm chipset is backed by 12GB of RAM. At the latest news, a version with 16GB of RAM is also in the boxes of the Chinese brand. So we can expect even better performance. Moreover, the benchmark confirms the presence of Android 11. However, it is not known whether Xiaomi incorporates the MIUI 12 overlay or the latest version, MIUI 12.5.

For the record, Xiaomi will unveil the Mi 11 Pro and the Mi 11 Ultra this Monday, March 29, 2021 at a conference organized in China.  In the process, the manufacturer is expected to announce a more affordable edition, the Mi 11 Lite, and a new Mi Mix with foldable screen and a liquid lens.
