YouTube releases function to live with two people

YouTube has finally started making available the feature that allows two people to perform a collaborative live stream. Named “Go Live Together”, the feature arrives only for iOS and Android, i.e. no desktop for now. The content producer must have more than 50 subscribers on their channel to host lives before sending the invitation to other participants.

The platform introduced the novelty in November 2022, however, it was still in the testing phase and few had access to it. However, on the night of Thursday (2), YouTube announced via Twitter that it was releasing the function to ordinary users.

It is worth noting that only one colleague can participate at a time. If the host wants another participant to enter the broadcast, the previous one’s output is required. The good news is that the requirement to have a minimum of 50 subscribers is directed exclusively to those who are commanding the live. Guests do not need to follow this rule.

Even though it’s a feature limited to the mobile version of the YouTube app, you can schedule content via desktop. However, at the start of the day, everyone should use the mobile device.

In the following tweet of the ad, the platform commented that it understands the animation of users to use the feature on PCs. She stated that she is “exploring” the idea and will update as soon as she has news on the subject.

Finally, as soon as the partner accesses the program, tap “Live Stream”.
YouTube increases options for users
“Together Live” is another platform effort to draw new fans and hold on to its huge user base. With the growth in popularity of so-called “video podcasts”, the possibility of performing lives in pairs draws attention for its simplicity.

In addition, the company has brought news that can further animate those who produce content. In early February, for example, YouTube Shorts began sharing advertising money with creators. As a result, those who make the short videos will get 45% of the revenue they enter for ads.

Another interesting news came in late January 2023, which brought the possibility for students to receive college credits by participating in courses on YouTube. Even though it is aimed only at students from American universities, the initiative is important for those who need to collect this score to achieve the long-awaited graduation.
