Huawei P50: these hull images confirm the design of the photo block

New images of the Huawei P50 also point to the presence of a huge photo block. Specifically, these are shots of the protective hull, pierced by large holes in the sensors. The composition of this block has yet to be verified, but it seems that the first renderings have seen right.

Lately, we’ve had a lot of content to get our ass out of the design of the Huawei P50. We were first treated to renderings of the Pro model, before seeing the arrival of the standard model. To complete it all, a 360 video allowed us to observe the flagship from all angles. Although different, all these elements have one thing in common: difficult to miss the huge photo block that equips the future smartphone.

It seems that the latter is present on the back of the Huawei P50. This is confirmed by new stolen photos, publishedby the leaker @RODENT950 on his Twitter account. It shows the supposed protective shell of the phone, showing two large holes precisely at the photo block. The size and layout of these correspond perfectly to the renderings previously broadcast.

The design of the Huawei P50 photo block is confirmed

According to these photos, Huawei would have opted for this unusual design for the largest photo sensor ever designed on smartphone. As a reminder, this is a Sony IMX800, which could soon equip the Google Pixel 6, another big name of the photo. The leaker @RODENT950 however, has some doubts about this design and about the renderings published a few days ago. Instead, it proposes that each of the two blocks contains several sensors.

Indeed, it seems strange for Huawei, renowned for focusing on the photo, to offer only two sensors on its next flagship. Anyway, the P50 will be the first smartphone on the market under HarmonyOS, the firm’s response to the U.S. embargo. Several elements of his technical sheet have already been revealed, but are of course to be taken with tweezers at the moment. These include a 120 Hz screen and 66W charge compatibility on the Pro model.
